Camp Wishon Campground, Southern Sierra Nevada, California   The swimming hole is the main attraction! Ive been twice now and love it! getting a spot next to this piece of heaven is a little tough I hear. waterfalls and natural made waterslides and cliff jumping all in one spot make camp wishon the spot to be. Says Chase my family has been going to camp wishon since the 1920's we stopped going about 10 years ago. we love the swimmin hole and used to like walking up to the soda spring thru doyles. (now they make you walk arround and wont let you go to the big pool by the soda spring)anyways we had 4 generations     of fun here Says bob linderman My family has been going to Wishon for over 50 years. I prefer to go during the week it is much quieter. My kids love the rock water slide and the fishermans trail provides beautiful hiking and mountain biking. There used to be a store but it closed years ago.The fishing by camp depends on stocking which usually happens on a Thursday. The pumphouse is my kids favorite spot to fish and swim. On a delightful   day at Camp Wishon Campground you can take a hike along the Atwell Hockett Trail; a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Kern River. Be careful coming to the Southern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return back home again. There is a pleasant hiking trail next to Camp Wishon Campground called the Sawtooth Pass Trail, and Camp Wishon Campground is not far at all from Camp Nelson. Yeah, come up here to the Southern Sierra Nevada for a great time. Don't miss out on a journey to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park if you're here at Camp Wishon Campground; going for a hike along the Summit Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. A lot of fun is at this campground. The snow is fine at Shirley Meadow.
