Ive been twice now and love it! getting a spot next to this piece of heaven is a little tough I hear. waterfalls and natural made waterslides and cliff jumping all in one spot make camp wishon the spot to be. Says Chase my family has been going to camp wishon since the 1920's we stopped going about 10 years ago. we love the swimmin hole and used to like walking up to the soda spring thru doyles. (now they make you walk arround and wont let you go to the big pool by the soda spring)anyways we had 4 generations     of fun here Says bob linderman My family has been going to Wishon for over 50 years. I prefer to go during the week it is much quieter. My kids love the rock water slide and the fishermans trail provides beautiful hiking and mountain biking. There used to be a store but it closed years ago.The fishing by camp depends on stocking which usually happens on a Thursday. The pumphouse is my kids favorite spot to fish and swim. Says Scott Burgo If the weather is great here at Camp Wishon Campground, you can go for a hike along the Sawtooth Pass Trail, and not far from Camp Wishon Campground you'll locate Hedrick Mill Pond which is a delightful lake. Camp Wishon Campground gets a   normal amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is January, and the driest of the months is July. And if that's not enough there's a lot more enjoyable stuff to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada. There are plenty of folks from Camp Nelson here at Camp Wishon Campground, and Meadow Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting. This campground is so great. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Black Mountain Trail, and drift down the rapids of Brush Creek in a kayak. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Camp Wishon Campground. Take a hike on the Summit Trail, and paddling on Kern River is so much fun. This campground has so much entertaining stuff to offer. While you're here at Camp Wishon Campground you can take a hike along the Atwell Hockett Trail; popping by Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Hockett Meadows Trail, and get covered with water paddling on Dry Meadow Creek. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Sequoia National Forest is a glorious place to check out on a beautiful day, and hey, Gotta ski right? Shirley Meadow is a tremendous spot to do that. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Camp Wishon Campground. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Camp Wishon Campground drop into the 30's.
