Summertime at Caballo Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 90's; the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Caballo Campground. The great variety of local attractions and such an incredible array of things to do are great causes to come.
    Not much rain falls here at Caballo Campground; most of the rain falls during February while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Caballo Campground is one of the locations to camp here in the Sierra Madre. Outdoors people generally like this segment of California.
There's good hiking along the Tinta Trail; a journey here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to close by Los Padres National Forest.
Sespe Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot near Caballo Campground; you can go for a hike on the Cedar Lake Trail. If spending too much time inside got you down, No problem at all; Caballo Campground, California is a perfect place for getting out. There's more to do near Caballo Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, fishing, hiking, and swimming, so it's just not possible to get bored.
 
This is a glorious campground. A great spot like Fort Tejon State Park in the neighborhood of Caballo Campground is too great to leave out, and there are delightful sites to look at along the McGuire Trail. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Caballo Campground has it all. Apache Saddle is a good spot to stop at in close proximity to Caballo Campground, and going for a hike on the Piedra Blanca National Recreation Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Sierra Madre is peerless! Brush Mountain can be made out from Caballo Campground, and magnificent hiking is available along the Chorro Grande Trail.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Sierra Madre has to offer. There are other places here than Caballo Campground, for example Lake of the Woods.
