If the weather is nice here at Caballo Campground, you can go for a hike along the Piedra Blanca National Recreation Trail; if you've had enough of Caballo Campground, Lake of the Woods is nearby. There's such an incredible array of things to do next to Caballo Campground; it's always fun being here. It's out of the question to get bored in California if you fancy the outdoors.
There's such a great deal of things
to do at Caballo Campground including swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. That right there is a load of exciting things already but it goes on, the Sierra Madre has it all. There is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Caballo Campground called the Cedar Lake Trail.
It's very unhealthy to spend too much time indoors; you've gotta get out every now and then; Caballo Campground in California is just the place. A perfect sight of pretty Brush Mountain is available from Caballo
 
Campground, and Fort Tejon State Park is a perfect spot to go.
Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Caballo Campground, and the night is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 60's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 50's with temperatures at Caballo Campground dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Caballo Campground gets very little rain; most of the rain falls through February; July is when it's the driest.
On a wonderful day at Caballo Campground you can take a hike along the McGuire Trail; a pleasant site for whitewater paddling is Sespe Creek. Loads of folks choose this campground when they come to take a look at Los Padres National Forest. A campground like this is too fine to miss. Going for a hike on the Chorro Grande Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Apache Saddle is a glorious place to stop at.
Caballo Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Sierra Madre.
