This camp ground is one of the magnificent sites to camp here in the Southern Cascade Range. All through the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 90's at Butte Creek Campground with overnight lows in the 40's. something that is likely to happen. At this campground you will always have a good time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pit River, and do take a hike on the Childs Meadows Trail. Just can't get enough of the Southern Cascade Range.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Duck Lake, and Butte Creek Campground is right by the Hanna Trail.
