The Silver King Trail offers hiking at its best, and get   yourself into a kayak and hit Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. Brightman Flat Campground is a wet location that gets a good deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month of the year is July. This is such a pleasant campground. Echo Canyon State Park is a tremendous place to check out; there are plenty of people from Pinecrest here at Brightman Flat Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cherry Creek - West Fork, and do check out Cloudburst Creek while you're here at Brightman Flat Campground. This segment of California is always a diversion to go to all through camping season. So much enjoyable stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada, just amazing. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Charity Valley Trail, and Stanislaus National Forest is a beautiful place any time of year. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place.
