Black Rock Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California

Black Rock is a very beautiful place to go visit. The roads are very narrow and there are a lot of cliff sides. My grandfather lived out there for a few years on a ranch which borders the Ishi trail. I have walked the Ishi trail and that is a beautiful experience as well. It runs along a river. The whole drive in there is pretty amazing you can see the valley below plus the Big Black Rock sticking out of the ground it looks more like its own mountain. Says Staci McCarley

California is a fine outdoors state. A normal amount of rain falls here at
Black Rock Campground; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July.
Scores of people camp here to be next to Lassen Volcanic National Park. If you go for the outdoors, you won’t be saddened; there's hiking, and whitewater paddling,
