Black Rock Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California Custom Search   Went fly fishing there for a day, it was great. Were leaving today to go on a camping trip there. Says Chase Corry Black Rock is a very beautiful place to go visit. The roads are very narrow and there are a lot of cliff sides. My grandfather lived out there for a few years on a ranch which borders the Ishi trail. I have walked the Ishi trail and that is a beautiful experience as well. It runs along a river. The whole drive in there is pretty amazing you can see the valley below plus the Big Black Rock sticking out of the ground it looks more like     its own mountain. Says Staci McCarley Hiking is a popular thing to do around Black Rock Campground; Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail is a good local trail; a nice site for whitewater paddling is Mill Creek. This campground is a stunning place to stop by. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Deer Creek, and going for a hike on the Murphy Trail is always a glorious adventure. This is such a fun place for a campground. The Growler Trail offers hiking at its best, and Bidwell Mansion State Park is a pleasant place to stretch your legs a bit. Summertime highs at Black Rock Campground ordinarily tend to be in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's; night lows at Black Rock Campground   all through the wintertime commonly plunge into the 30's. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Black Rock Campground. If time allows, Lassen Volcanic National Park is a national park worth stopping at; you need to stop at Black Rock if you're here. You just ought to like the Northern Sierra Nevada. Good hiking is available along the Old Lassen Trail. Lakes? Sure, Diamond Lake is in the vicinity. The amount of rainfall that falls at Black Rock Campground is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Man, is there a lot of fun things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Battle Creek - South Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Barkley Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Black Rock Campground. Go for a hike on the Graham Trail, and when you're here it's always fun to stop by Bidwell-Sacramento River State Park. Here at Black Rock Campground there are plenty of people from Red Bluff.
