Black Rock Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   Black Rock is a very beautiful place to go visit. The roads are very narrow and there are a lot of cliff sides. My grandfather lived out there for a few years on a ranch which borders the Ishi trail. I have walked the Ishi trail and that is a beautiful experience as well. It runs along a river. The whole drive in there is pretty amazing you can see the valley below plus the Big Black Rock sticking out of the ground it looks more like its own mountain. Don't leave Black Rock Campground without visiting Bidwell Mansion State Park, and Mill Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. All through the summertime at Black Rock Campground temperatures are generally in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Black Rock Campground temperatures sink to the 30's. Some activities here at Black Rock Campground are hiking, and whitewater paddling, so it's totally impossible to get bored. Coming to this campground is always a glorious idea. If the weather is perfect here at Black Rock Campground, you can go for a hike along the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail, and do take a hike   on the Murphy Trail. This campground is a glorious place to explore. Bidwell-Sacramento River State Park is worth stopping at if you're at Black Rock Campground, and going for a hike along the Old Lassen Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Scores of folks select Black Rock Campground in order to be next to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Battle Creek - South Fork has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by, and you need to check out Black Rock if you're here. During your journey to Black Rock Campground you'll meet some folks from Red Bluff for sure; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Deer Creek. Be careful coming to Black Rock Campground, you might not ever want to go back home again. On a wonderful day at Black Rock Campground you can take a hike along the Growler Trail, and the peak of Barkley Mountain can be spotted from Black Rock Campground. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Graham Trail, and Lassen Volcanic National Park is a pleasant place nearby. Such a nice choice of attractions and the nice variety of outdoors recreation are brilliant reasons to come. There's such a large number of things to do near Black Rock Campground, and it is a perfect escape from the ordinary.
