This is a good campground. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Escondido Creek, and hiking along the Gomez Trail is great fun. All the great local attractions in the neighborhood and such a great variety of outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back again and again.

A tremendous place to pop by near Black Canyon Campground is Black Canyon, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Monument Trail. A lot of people stay at this campground to be near Palomar Mountain State Park.
