Black Bear Campground is situated in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Summer at Black Bear Campground comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Black Bear Campground dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. This campground is so delightful. You can run the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork next to Black Bear Campground, and there's great hiking along the Heath Falls Overlook Trail. Black Bear Campground mostly gets a great deal of rainfall;   during January this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Soda Springs, and you can go for a hike on the Steamboat Trail. During your trip to Black Bear Campground you'll meet some folks from Truckee-Grass Valley for sure, and swing by Dolly Creek it's a great location to explore. There's more to do near Black Bear Campground other than just hanging out such as swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of exciting stuff to do won’t happen. Quite a lot of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of Black Bear Campground; it is a wonderful campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Yuba River - South Fork; if you're here, you could also go to striking French Meadows Reservoir. Some folks pick this campground all through their tour to Tahoe National Forest. The brilliant variety of local attractions and such a brilliant variety of outdoors recreation are good reasons to come. California is a wonderful outdoors state. This campground has so many cool things to offer. Get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Rubicon River, and don’t forget to stop at French Meadows while you're here at Black Bear Campground.
