| | The only way to drop a kayak in Kings river is a very long drive (maybe 4-5 hours) to the west side or the range, or lugging it through the wilderness (over the spine). I think I would have to give a gold medal to anyone who would lug a kayak from Big Trees to Kings river. Just a heads-up. Says Mark C

Don't go whitewater paddling in advance of first checking conditions; it's treacherous matter. Splendid trekking awaits you on the in the vicinity Kings River Trail; this backcountry trail has a height difference of 2,759 feet and is 14.
