Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Gotta ski! Royal Gorge is a brilliant place to do that, and Big Tree Grove Campground is not far at all from Truckee-Grass Valley. The surroundings of this campground have such a large number of things to offer.
There's a lot of outdoors recreation available close at hand such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. That right there is heaps of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on American River - North Fork; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Pigeon Roost Trail. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Rubicon River is a nice whitewater spot next to Big Tree Grove Campground, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Belix Trail.
Big Tree Grove Campground is positioned in a vicinity with a lot of cool things to do, and camping is such a fun thing to do, and this is a tremendous place to do that.
