Big Flat Campground, Coast Ranges, California

  Lots of folks select this campground when going to Six Rivers National Forest. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Big Flat Campground. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and overnight lows through the winter for Big Flat Campground tend to be in the 30's. When was the last occasion you went for a camping trip? Big Flat Campground is a brilliant local campground if you happen to be in California. Big Flat Campground gets a lot of water; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain,
    and July is the month with the least moisture.
Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Coast Ranges. There's glorious hiking along the Summit Valley Trail, and a brilliant spot for whitewater paddling is Goose Creek. All the pleasant local attractions close at hand
and the nearby outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back many times.
There are so many entertaining things close to Big Flat Campground, and it sure is a brilliant campground. The Coast Ranges scenery is always striking.
The smiling folks of Crescent City North like to hang out nearby, and a lake close by is Rattlesnake Lake. Smith River - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; the Elk Camp Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. This is a nice campground. Smith Redwoods State Park is a great location to have a look at.
You absolutely must love Big Flat Campground. Take a little spree to Hurdygurdy Creek since you're here at Big Flat Campground. All year is a great time in the Coast Ranges if you like the outdoors. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hurdygurdy Creek, and if you crave a little side tour, try Haydens Gulch. Don't leave Big Flat Campground without first going for a hike along the Paradise Trail; Six Rivers National Forest is a striking site any time of year.
Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are in fact abundant here at Big Flat Campground. Big Flat Campground is right by the Hope Creek Trail, and don't miss out on a spree to Redwood National and State Parks if you're here. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the entertaining stuff you can do is swimming, hiking, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t get bored.
A campground like this is too nice to miss. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Flat Campground; French Hill Trail is a great local trail, and a pleasant visit to Rattlesnake Flat is a great way to spend an afternoon.
