A fine location for whitewater paddling near Big Flat Campground is Trinity River, and don't leave without visiting Weaverville Joss House State Park.

So much enjoyable stuff in the neighborhood of Big Flat Campground; to be at this place is tremendous fun any time. Throughout
the summertime at Big Flat Campground highs are regularly in the 90's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Big Flat Campground dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always pretty.
