Beehive Campground, California Custom Search   Beehive campground is pretty good, little rocky and if the water is down that can be a problem. The do have several outhouses there and it is easy to get to. Gregory Creek is better but has been closed for many years due to the eagles nesting. Invest in wasp traps! Bears are not to bad in the 3 years we have camped there only saw one and it was running from the lake. It is truly beautiful here at this primitive campground, and at Beehive Campground you could get a better wilderness experience than you would get at a more civilized campground. Going for a backcountry walk outshines anything; the 3.7-mile-in-length Dry Creek Trail is in close proximity; it has a difference in height of 188 feet. Good hiking is available along the Crags Trail, and if you have a boat, Sugarloaf Resort is a perfect marina.
