  Beasore Meadows Campground is a glorious 16-mile-from-start-to-finish stretch of whitewater on Merced River - South Fork, a grade V+, this is the Upper section. This stretch of Merced River - South Fork is a hard stretch for paddling. Whitewater rafting or kayaking may become perilous, so check the situation ahead of going. A pleasant backcountry trail with an elevation variation of 2,879 feet, and 7 miles long, can be found close at hand.
