You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Cogswell Reservoir near Bandido Campground, and don't leave Bandido Campground without first going for a hike along the Rattlesnake Trail. Everybody loves Horse Flats, and close by you hit upon the Gabrielino National Scenic Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Outdoors people generally adore this section of California.
