The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and night lows during the wintertime for Atchison Campground tend to be in the 30's. All year is a great time in the Klamath Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. So many exciting things to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too tremendous to be true. Get dripping wet paddling on Black Butte River, and hiking along the Ides Cove National Recreation Trail is delightful fun.

Mendocino National Forest is a glorious location to stretch your legs a bit, and tremendous hiking is available along the Buttermilk Trail.

If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll go for Atchison Campground. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Thomes Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the French Trail. If you've got cabin fever from too much time inside, No problem at all; Atchison Campground
in California is such a great spot. At Atchison Campground entertaining stuff to do is bountiful, and if you're trying to locate a great spot to go camping for a couple of days, this is a nice pick.
