Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Santa Lucia Range. If you come at the right time of year, San Antonio offers some fine whitewater, and do take a hike on the Summit Trail. You certainly have to stop at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park if you're here at Apple Campground; good hiking is available along the Girard Trail.
