A tremendous nearby hiking and backpacking trail boasting an altitude difference of 188 feet is Dry Creek Trail, a delightful 3.7-mile-long hike. A stunning great outdoors hiking trail in the neighborhood is Crags Trail; it's 4.6 miles long and has an elevation difference of 2,068 feet. This great outdoors hiking  
trail, the Crags Trail is a challenging hike that takes something like five hours. There are good spots to explore along the Castle Lake Trail, and places like Shasta National Forest are delightful to go to.
