  This part of California is always a bliss to go to during camping season. This is such a good campground. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a tremendous national park, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Lakehead for sure.
At Antlers Campground you don’t see much precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest. Antlers Campground is a very well liked campground by campers from Lakehead. Places like Castle Crags State Park are good to stop at.
Antlers Campground is not
    the only place close by, Shasta Lake is a close by lake; get drenched paddling on Sacramento River. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Antlers Campground. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows
in the 20's overnight here at Antlers Campground.
There's loads of outdoors recreation available in the neighborhood such as fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t get bored.

Shasta National Forest is a pleasant place to explore, and why not take a little visit to Gregory Creek since you're here. On a good day at Antlers Campground you can take a hike along the Echo Lake Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary offers some fine whitewater.
This campground is so good. While you're here at Antlers Campground you can take a hike along the Dry Creek Trail; why not head up to Mount Shasta and strap some skis to your feet. If the weather is good here at Antlers Campground, you can go for a hike along the Crags Trail, and the view of Haycock Peak is charming.
