It's totally impossible to run out of cool things to do near Alpine View Campground; it is a fun location for everyone. It's not good for you to spend
    too much time in the city; you need to get out of the house every now and then, and Alpine View Campground is a fine local campground if you happen to be in California. Smith Gulch is near Alpine View Campground and is a glorious site, and paddling on Trinity River is so much fun.
As if Alpine View Campground wasn't sufficient, you can also go swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so in all probability you want to stay a bit. This campground is always a joy. This is a popular location for people from Lewiston, and lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Trinity Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Alpine View Campground, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 40's while Alpine View Campground overnight low temperatures through  
the wintertime are in the 20's.
You completely must adore the Klamath Mountains. Hayward Flat is right here at Alpine View Campground, and a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to close by Weaverville Joss House State Park. In California you never run out of outdoors cool things.
If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Coffee Creek; there's some flowing water close by, Strope Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Alpine View Campground, too delightful to be true. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary, and don't leave without going to Shasta National Forest.
Several people stay here in order to be in the neighborhood of Shasta National Forest. Alpine View Campground is a good spot of common rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; July is when it's the driest.
