| Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and glide down the rapids of Truckee River in a kayak. Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Get covered with water paddling on Truckee River, and Martis Valley is in the neighborhood, and is a glorious site. hike along the Mount Rose Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Alpine Meadow Campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Alpine Meadow Campground; Mount Rose Trail is a splendid local trail, and a good site like Kings Beach State Park
is too tremendous to leave out. There's more to do next to Alpine Meadow Campground other than just hanging out such as fishing, playing golf, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so probably you want to stay for a while. A lot of fun is at this campground. If you're
a golfer then a wonderful nearby course is Old Greenwood Golf Course, and do take a hike on the Painted Rock Trail. Pack your camping stuff and head out on the road; Alpine Meadow Campground is a wonderful local campground if you happen to be in California. If you want a nice
time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Alpine Meadow Campground. The Granite Chief Trail offers hiking at its best; why not head up to Northstar at Tahoe and strap some skis to your feet. Alpine Meadow Campground is a campground rather frequently visited by people from
Truckee. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Alpine Meadow Campground reach the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Alpine Meadow
