Alpine Meadow Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   Have a great hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14, and don't leave without going to Burton Creek State Park. California has a lot of outdoors activities. So many local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back over and over. The annual precipitation here at Alpine Meadow Campground is about average; the wettest month of the year is regularly January, that's the one that snows the most, and July is the month with the least moisture. So many entertaining things to do here in the Northern     Sierra Nevada, too good to be true. If you want to hit the beach, Patton Beach is close at hand, and playing golf is lots of fun at Ponderosa Golf Course. Loads of people stay here for the purpose of being near Patton Beach. This campground is a great location to visit. Dry Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and glide down the rapids of Truckee River in a kayak. Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Get covered with water paddling on Truckee River, and Martis Valley is in the neighborhood, and is a glorious site. The nice folks of Truckee like to hang out close by, and for you golfers we recommend close by Old Brockway Golf Course. You simply have to adore the Northern Sierra Nevada. On a pleasant day it's a fine idea to spend the day at Atagam Beach, and why not take a refreshing   hike along the Mount Rose Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Alpine Meadow Campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Alpine Meadow Campground; Mount Rose Trail is a splendid local trail, and a good site like Kings Beach State Park is too tremendous to leave out. There's more to do next to Alpine Meadow Campground other than just hanging out such as fishing, playing golf, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so probably you want to stay for a while. A lot of fun is at this campground. If you're a golfer then a wonderful nearby course is Old Greenwood Golf Course, and do take a hike on the Painted Rock Trail. Pack your camping stuff and head out on the road; Alpine Meadow Campground is a wonderful local campground if you happen to be in California. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Alpine Meadow Campground. The Granite Chief Trail offers hiking at its best; why not head up to Northstar at Tahoe and strap some skis to your feet. Alpine Meadow Campground is a campground rather frequently visited by people from Truckee. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Alpine Meadow Campground reach the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Alpine Meadow Campground. If you come at the right time of year, Truckee River offers some great whitewater, also Martis Creek Lake Dam is worth going to while you're here. Alpine Meadow Campground is one of the locations to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. It's out of the question to run out of entertaining things to do near Alpine Meadow Campground; spending time at this campground is fantastically pleasant. Coming to this campground is always a great idea. East Martis Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth stopping at.
