splendid, you can go for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Alpine Campground has it all. If you're visiting Alpine Campground from South Lake Tahoe, you won't be the only one, and Echo Summit is a tremendous
spot to check out. This is really a brilliant campground. Swamps like Benwood Meadow next to Alpine Campground make for perfect places to go to, and the General Creek Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. Take a hike on the Hawley Grade Trail, and if you come at the right
time of year, Mokelumne River - North Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. There's such a great deal of things to do at Alpine Campground including playing golf, fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes? Sure, Dardanelles Lake is close by. Drift down the rapids of American River - South Fork in a kayak, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sierra at Tahoe is reasonably near. Going for a camping
trip here in California is something you have to do. When was the last time you went for a camping trip? Alpine Campground in California is a really glorious site to spend some time. Summertime at Alpine Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and throughout
the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Alpine Campground fall into the 10's. This camp ground is one of the splendid spots to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
