you can take a hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Tenaya Creek. Have a great hiking adventure along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Sierra Nevada. You get a great vista of Reversed Peak from Aerie Crag Campground, and paddling on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork is so much fun.
Through the summer at Aerie Crag Campground highs are usually in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Aerie Crag Campground descend into the 0's. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Hiking along the John Muir Trail - section 2 is glorious fun, and soar down the rapids of Mono Creek in a kayak.
This campground is a pretty site to stop by. Don't miss out on a journey to Devils Postpile National Monument since you're here at Aerie Crag Campground, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. There's no way to run out of entertaining things to do in the neighborhood of Aerie Crag Campground; if you're trying to find a good place to go camping for a couple of days, this is a great choice.
