This campground is always a bliss. Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park is a wonderful spot to pop by on a gorgeous day. The Mogollon Rim Mountains scenery is always scenic. There's more to do near Jones Water Campground other than just hanging out such as relaxing, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. Outdoors folks generally adore this part of Arizona. At Jones Water Campground you don’t     see much precipitation; most of the rain falls all through August; June is when it's the driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Salt River; Tonto National Monument is a perfect local destination.
