Through the summer here at First Crossing Campground, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at First Crossing Campground dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. here through their trip to Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. There is a brilliant hiking trail near First Crossing Campground called the Highline Trail, and spots like Coconino National Forest are brilliant to go to. Some of the things you can do here at First Crossing Campground
are hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, and swimming, so running out of cool stuff to do won’t happen. All the nice local attractions close at hand and so much stuff to do will make you happy you came. Just can't get enough of the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Lakes are such serene
places, why not have a look at Shoofly Number Two next to First Crossing Campground; let's not forget Ellison Creek which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. First Crossing Campground is a fine camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Mogollon Rim Mountains.
First Crossing Campground is an old favorite with folks of Payson. And that's not all there is to do here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. There's whitewater on Tonto Creek for all you adrenaline people; on a good day you can take a hike along the Myrtle Trail.
