  This campground was converted to a day use-only picnic area several years ago.    Oak Creek is too shallow and mild for whitewater paddling .  Banjo Bill, however, remains a scenic and beautiful area and is great as a site for a picnic along the creek. Says Joe Aguirre

Banjo Bill Campground is next to Red Rock State Park which is a pretty place; hiking along the Vultee Arch Twenty Two is nice fun. There are so many entertaining things to do close to Banjo Bill Campground, and what a nice place for camping it is.
This campground is a wonderful
    spot to pop by. Vultee Arch is something you shouldn't miss since you're here at Banjo Bill Campground. Paddling on Wet Beaver Creek is so much fun; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Dorsey Spring Trail.
This campground has everything. You need to take a look
at Indian Head Arch since you're here at Banjo Bill Campground, and brilliant skiing awaits you at Arizona Snowbowl. Arizona has scores of outdoors activities.
East Pocket is right here at Banjo Bill Campground, and if you wish for a little side tour, try Surveyor Canyon. Loads of folks stay at Banjo Bill Campground all through their visit to Slide Rock State Park. Loads of fun is at this campground. Slide Rock State Park is both great and lovely, and it's near Banjo Bill Campground, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Loy
 
Butte Five.
Oak Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by, and Walnut Canyon National Monument is one of the destinations that are magnificent to have a look at close by. The magnificent choice of local attractions, and the nearby outdoors recreation will absolutely have you coming back time and again. Wupatki National Monument is a good local destination here at Banjo Bill Campground; going for a hike along the Wilson Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
Banjo Bill Campground is incredibly well loved by folks in Sedona. If the weather is gorgeous, you get a fine panorama of East Pocket Knob from Banjo Bill Campground; this is a popular location for people from Sedona.
There's more to do close to Banjo Bill Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. Man, is there a lot of fun things to do next to Banjo Bill Campground. Float down the rapids of Beaver Creek in a kayak; do take a hike on the A B Young Trail. Banjo Bill Campground is a location that is reasonably dehydrated regularly; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is June.
During the summer months at Banjo Bill Campground highs are generally in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Banjo Bill Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. West Fork Oak Creek is a good location to visit. Lakes? Sure, Fry Lake is nearby.
