Foxfire Campground, Alabama   This campground has been closed for over two decades. Says SpeegleResident Hey, enough of spending all this time inside a building, it's time to go camping, and Foxfire Campground is a glorious local campground if you happen to be in Alabama. Speegle Point is close at hand and always great to check out, and paddling on Flint Creek - East Fork is so much fun. You're sure to encounter some wonderful folks from Crane Hill here, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Mulberry Fork. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Foxfire Campground, too     magnificent to be true. Rice Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. High temperatures at Foxfire Campground throughout the summertime months are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Foxfire Campground are in the 20's. The brilliant local attractions and such a brilliant variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. Loads of folks opt for this campground when they come to visit Rickwood Caverns State Park. At Foxfire Campground fun stuff to do is bountiful, and to be here is glorious fun any time. Foxfire Campground sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. Foxfire Campground is prized   by visitors from Crane Hill. This campground is so fine. Foxfire Campground is next to Rickwood Caverns State Park which is a pretty location; on a wonderful day you get a splendid view of Bailey Mountain from Foxfire Campground. Alabama is a glorious site for campers. There's more to do in close proximity to Foxfire Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, and relaxing, so running out of cool things to do won’t happen. William B. Bankhead National Forest is a tremendous location to stretch your legs a bit; some nearby water includes Brushy Creek.
