Buffalo Bill State Park is a good spot to stretch your legs a bit, and you can run the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. This campground is so lovely. Here at Ponderosa Campground
there are plenty of people from Cody, and there's whitewater on Shoshone River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Ponderosa Campground is generally a relatively arid spot; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Through the summer
months highs here at Ponderosa Campground get into the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Ponderosa Campground.
If you're here at Ponderosa Campground, you could
have a look at Dry Creek, and enjoy a round of golf at Olive-Glenn Golf & Country Club. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Ponderosa Campground, so little time. You could also go to City Reservoir if you're here at Ponderosa Campground; it's close by, and Markham Dam is stunning.
