New Fork Lake - Bridger-Teton National Forest, Wind River Range, Wyoming

| | Not much rain falls here at New Fork Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; August meanwhile is the driest month. New Fork Lake is an old favorite with the folks of Jackson. This is such a scenic campground. Go for a hike on the Open Canyon Trail; if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gros Ventre River. Camping in Wyoming is such a fun activity. As if New Fork Lake wasn't enough, you can also go swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of fun stuff |

| do will make you happy you came. Several folks select this campground to be near Grand Teton National Park. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Wind River Range. Visiting Grand Teton National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and Ditch Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot close by. 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at New Fork Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. There's great hiking along the Beaver Creek Trail, and you'll hit upon a striking lake called Phelps Lake. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore New Fork Lake.
While you're here at New Fork Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Jackson; Snow King Mountain can be spotted from New Fork Lake. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Wind River Range is excellent! Going for a hike on the Valley Trail is always a pleasant adventure,
and what would winter be without some skiing at Snow King. This campground is always a bliss. A quick tour to Cache Creek in close proximity to New Fork Lake is a magnificent idea; close by you stumble on the Granite Canyon Trail which is a fine hiking trail. The kind reception
and the well controlled operations are a great draw for loads of folks. A nice place for whitewater paddling close to New Fork Lake is Snake River, and splendid hiking is available along the Rendezvous Mountain Trail.
