Tongue River Reservoir State Park is a delightful spot any time of year, and Middle Fork is right by the Stockwell Trail. Middle Fork is usually a rather dry site; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is February. The friendly ambiance and all the entertaining things have people coming here. There is so much fun stuff near Middle Fork, and campgrounds like these are fine. Enjoy a round of golf at Sheridan Country Club not far from Middle Fork, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Penrose Park Trail. The brilliant selection of local attractions, and the nearby outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back again and again.
| Gotta ski! Antelope Butte is a great place to do that; a splendid site close by is Cemetery Draw. Not far from Middle Fork, you'll locate Hume Ponds which is a pretty lake, and float down the rapids of Tongue River in a kayak. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Middle Fork. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Middle Fork. At this campground you will always have a splendid time. If you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek offers some magnificent whitewater; going for a hike along the Tepee Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. You'll meet a lot of people from Sheridan
here, and why not a little side trip to Little Goose Creek. Middle Fork is a very popular campground among the people from Sheridan. This campground is a beautiful spot to stop at. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Story Penrose Trail; spots like Bighorn National Forest are nice to visit. It's just not possible to get bored in Wyoming if you love the outdoors.
