Lakeview - Bighorn National Forest, Wyoming   Lakeview is a very popular old favorite campground among campers from Sheridan. There's a lot of outdoors recreation available close at hand such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. Lakeview is next to Rosebud Battlefield State Park which is a beautiful spot, and the snow is great at Antelope Butte. If you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek offers some great whitewater, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Sheridan. All the magnificent local attractions close at hand and such a great deal     of things to do are great incentives to come. All the smiling people and a delightful variety of amusing things makes the journey here worthwhile. Hiking along the Stockwell Trail is splendid fun, and a brilliant spot to have a look at nearby is Beatty Gulch. Many people stay here in order to be in the neighborhood of Tongue River Reservoir State Park. There is so much fun stuff in the neighborhood of Lakeview, and campgrounds like these are tremendous. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Lakeview has it all. Lakeview is right by the Story Penrose Trail, and Tongue River Reservoir State Park is both tremendous and striking. Wyoming has so much stuff to offer nature lovers. Lakeview is a location that is reasonably dried out frequently; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and   February on the other hand is the driest. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, you've got to get out of the house, and Lakeview in Wyoming is just the place. If you come to this campground, you will have a pleasant time for sure. Take a hike on the Bear Gulch Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Tongue River. At Lakeview through the summer highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lakeview.
