Canyon Campground, Absaroka Range, Wyoming   Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. Canyon Campground is located in the Absaroka Range. Loads of people stay at this campground for the purpose of being in the vicinity of Yellowstone National Park. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Plateau Trail, and Gallatin National Forest is both tremendous and pretty. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Canyon     Campground, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Canyon Campground. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Absaroka Range has to offer. Take a hike on the Mary Mountain Trail, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Mulherin Creek. Have a great hiking adventure along the Howard Eaton Trail, and there's whitewater on Yellowstone River for all you adrenaline junkies. Not much rainfall falls here at Canyon Campground; the wettest month of the year is typically June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. There's pleasant hiking along the Ice Lakes Trail, and a pleasant visit to Virginia Meadows is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. The Wolf Lake Trail offers hiking at its best; don't miss out on a trip to Yellowstone National Park if you're here. Having a tremendous time in the Absaroka Range is easy.
