The Hickory Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best, and a fine location like Old Abe State Trail is too good to leave out. This campground has so much. Christie Mountain is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Yellow River. A lot of folks opt for this campground for the purpose of being in close proximity to Old Abe State Trail. Just can't get enough of Shady Nook Resort. There's good hiking along     the Deer Fly Trail, and soar down the rapids of Chippewa River in a kayak. There's such a large number of things to do close to Shady Nook Resort; camping is such an enjoyable activity, and this is a brilliant site to do that. Summertime highs at Shady Nook Resort usually tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's while Shady Nook Resort night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. A lot of fun is at this campground. There's a heap of outdoors recreation available close by such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so there's no way to get bored. The pleasant personnel and the capably kept up facilities have loads of folks coming here. If you come at the right time of year, Eau Claire River offers some   brilliant whitewater; going for a hike on the Moonridge Trail is always a wonderful adventure. A normal amount of rain falls here at Shady Nook Resort; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is when it's the driest. The glorious variety of local attractions and such a vast number of things to do will make you glad you came. Shady Nook Resort is a very popular campground with folks in Boyd. Don't leave Shady Nook Resort without first going for a hike along the Hay Meadow Trail; you'll almost certainly meet some people from Boyd here. If you are in Wisconsin during camping season, you should go camping. A spree to Brunet Island State Park when you're here at Shady Nook Resort is a magnificent idea; there are great locations to explore along the Hamilton Falls Snowmobile Trail.
