River Hills Estates Campground, Wisconsin   Great Place to Stay, Beautiful camping area for tenters, and there are plenty of things to do and see within the Upper Mississippi Wildlife Refuge.  Campground is very clean, permanent sites are available, with full hook up, and are on city sewer.  Hiking trails, clubhouse, woods and wetland, all within the campground.  There is a 2 bed. 2 bath. rental cottage within the grounds, very clean and reasonably priced for weekends, by the week, or month. Sorry, this campground has been removed from our data base. But     you can find other nearby campgrounds in the side column. A magnificent site in the vicinity of River Hills Estates Campground is Morgan Hollow, and you can go for a hike on the Yellow River State Forest Trail. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! River Hills Estates Campground is excellent!. This is such a tremendous campground. Yellow River State Forest is a good place to stretch your legs a bit, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Lynxville for sure. Summertime at River Hills Estates Campground comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at River Hills Estates Campground temperatures descend to the 0's. Very picturesque scenery and perfect   skiing is what you get at Mount La Crosse; Gimmel Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Wyalusing State Park is a gorgeous place any time of year, and if you have time, Effigy Mounds National Monument is a national park worth a visit. From a rain point of view River Hills Estates Campground is a relatively typical place; July is the month that gets the most rain; January is the month with the least moisture.
