Devil's Lake State Park, Wisconsin Custom Search   Stayed here last weekend with some friends and it was great. I have never stayed in a State Park before and have always camped at privately-owned campgrounds. I must confess that I will probably always pursue State Park's over private grounds from here on out! The park was clean, the staff laid back and friendly, our site was well shaded and secluded. It was especially great to hang our tarp during a rainstorm. There were ample trees to tie rope too, which is unlike most private grounds I've been on where they simply cut out an area and your site is a patch     of grass surrounded by sparse trees and foliage. The bathrooms were clean, and the Park has many great amenities for young, old, climbers or families. Plus, from the Park you can be at the Dells in about half an hour! I highly recommend! Says Pam Devil's Lake State Park is a great location to take a look at on a gorgeous day, and there's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Waterworks WP226 Dam near Devil's Lake State Park. An average amount of precipitation falls at Devil's Lake State Park; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest. West Bluff is an exciting thing to distinguish while you're here at Devil's Lake State Park, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Baraboo River. There are some great whitewater spots on Wisconsin River, and going for a hike along the Bluff   Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This location is unbeatable, just check out all the amusing stuff to do close to Devil's Lake State Park. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Devils Head is close to Devil's Lake State Park, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Merrimac. While you're here at Devil's Lake State Park, you could also check out scenic Devils Lake, and since you're here you can play some golf at Baraboo Country Club. This campground is so stunning. Any time is a glorious time at Devil's Lake State Park if you have a thing about the outdoors. While you're here at Devil's Lake State Park you can take a hike along the West Bluff Trail, and of course, all our national parks are great places to visit and Ice Age National Scenic Trail is no exception. Coming to this campground is always a splendid idea. If you come at the right time of year, Skillet Creek offers some fine whitewater, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the East Bluff Trail. This campground is a splendid location to pop by. The East Bluff Woods Trail is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Devil's Lake State Park, and you absolutely ought to pop by Mirror Lake State Park since you're here. All through the days of summer at Devil's Lake State Park highs are typically in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Devil's Lake State Park dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Near Devil's Lake State Park you locate the Grottos Trail which is a great hiking trail; East Bluff is an out of the ordinary spot to have a look at while at Devil's Lake State Park. The sights at North Country National Scenic Trail will blow your mind, and Steinke Basin is a striking location any time of year.
