Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Embarrass River; Norris Point is not far at all. The surroundings of this campground have so many things to offer. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Otter Creek is right nearby, and a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Hartman Creek State Park. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Deerhaven Campground. Playing golf is lots of fun at Waupaca Country Club, and get
yourself into a kayak and hit Little Wolf River. A round of golf at nearby Foxfire Golf Club is a great way to kill some time, and you're sure to encounter some wonderful folks from Waupaca here. This is in fact a magnificent campground. A charming lake like Silver Lake near Deerhaven
Campground is a brilliant site to go to, and there are some great whitewater spots on Embarrass River - South Branch.
Very pretty scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Nordic Mountain, and a forest nearby is Greenwood Forest. From a rainfall point of view Deerhaven
Campground is a reasonably normal place; the month with most of the rain is September while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
