The staff that manages this campground and the ably kept up facilities makes the journey here worthwhile. Stonecoal Campground is a wet location that gets much precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. | Get yourself into a kayak and hit Buckhannon River. West Virginia is a good place for campers. Going to Holly River State Park close to Stonecoal Campground is a tremendous thing to do, and going for a hike on the Tramontane Trail is always a glorious adventure. A great spot like Audra State Park next to Stonecoal Campground is too brilliant to leave out; there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the High Rock Trail. Campground in West Virginia is a really good place to spend some time. Be careful coming to Stonecoal Campground, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you come at the right time of year, Sand Run offers some wonderful whitewater; on a great day you can take a hike
along the Wilderness Trail. There are so many exciting things near Stonecoal Campground, and it is a good campground. This campground is so gorgeous. There are some good whitewater spots on Buckhannon River, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Reverie Trail.
A lot of folks select Stonecoal Campground when going to Audra State Park. Riverbend Golf Course is a golf course near Stonecoal Campground, and nearby you come across the Salt Lick Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.
