Stonecoal Campground, West Virginia Custom Search   Stonecoal Campground is an old favorite with folks from Buckhannon. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is fishing, whitewater paddling, hiking, swimming, and playing golf, so it's totally impossible to get bored. In West Virginia you never run out of outdoors enjoyable stuff. The people who take care of the campground and all the enjoyable stuff are a good attraction for scores of folks. A number of folks camp here for   the purpose of being close to Audra State Park. The 4.7-mile-long Tenmile to Sago section is a type III-IV section of whitewater on Buckhannon River. This part of Buckhannon River is suited for paddlers who have been raft paddling for a while but who are not yet prepared for the incredibly dangerous rapids. Whitewater rafting or kayaking may become dangerous, so check the latest conditions in advance of a trip. Getting to Wash Run from Stonecoal Campground       is easy, and you can go for a hike on the Wilderness Trail. Go and look at some incredibly lovely animals at OUT of the Way Pet Grooming, an excellent zoo in close proximity to Stonecoal Campground. For all you bowlers, Buckhannon   Lanes is a good bowling alley next to Stonecoal Campground. There's good hiking along the Salt Lick Trail; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Riverbend Golf Club is nearby. Audra State Park is a pleasant place to stop at; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Bel Meadow Golf Club. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place!
