Through the summertime months here at Second Creek Campground, high temperatures typically reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's, and overnight     lows at Second Creek Campground through the winter typically dip into the 10's. Second Creek Campground is a wet site that gets much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is January. The sight of pretty Wagner Hill near Second Creek Campground is great; nice hiking is available along the Youngs Nature Trail. All the outdoors fun stuff next to Second Creek Campground will keep you coming back persistently. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Second Creek Campground; South Boundary Trail is a good local trail, and glide down the rapids of Anthony Creek in a kayak. Take a hike on the Blue Bend Loop Trail, and get covered with water paddling on Second Creek. This campground is so good. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Moncove Lake right next door to Second Creek Campground.   Why not take a refreshing hike along the Laurel Run Trail, and for you golfers we recommend close by Lewisburg Elks Country Club. The surroundings of this campground have so much to offer. Hiking along the Blueline Trail is good fun, and Greenbrier State Forest is a perfect location to visit on a gorgeous day.
