New River Campground, West Virginia

  The splendid variety of local attractions and such a large number of things to do are guaranteed to keep you coming back many times. You can run the rapids of Armstrong Creek next to New River Campground, and a tremendous spot to stop at close by is Clover Hollow. The people who watch over the campground and all the entertaining things to do are in themselves cause enough to come here. At New River Campground exciting stuff to do is plentiful; it's one of those locations where everything is wonderful.
West Virginia is a wonderful location for outdoors
    people. The yearly rainfall here at New River Campground is about average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. A lot of people stay at New River Campground to be in the neighborhood of Kanawha State Forest.
Places like Kanawha
State Forest are wonderful to visit, and Coonskin Golf Course is a good golf course close by. New River Campground is a very popular campground among the people from Belle.
The warmest time of the year at New River Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are frequently in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to New River Campground. As if New River Campground wasn't enough, you can also go whitewater paddling, playing golf, fishing,
 
and swimming, so running out of amusing things to do won’t happen. During your visit to New River Campground you'll meet some folks from Belle for sure; a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Armstrong Creek - Powellton Fork.
What a site this is for outdoors folks. Big Coal River - Clear Fork is a glorious whitewater spot next to New River Campground.
This campground is so good. Why not go to nearby Little Spring Fork while you're here at New River Campground; lakes are such calm sites, why not stop at Cool Lake.
