are regularly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Mountain Lake Campground. Mountain Lake Campground is a very popular campground with folks in Summersville. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the exciting stuff you can do is hiking, swimming, fishing,
and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. A trip to Babcock State Park when you're here at Mountain Lake Campground is a fine idea; while you're here you can take a hike along the Harris Siding Trail. This campground is a wonderful site to explore. In case you don’t mind
getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Muddlety Creek, and hiking along the Way Back Trail is magnificent fun. A spree to Gauley River National Recreation Area is recommended. Whitewater paddling is nice on Hominy Creek, and if you haven’t been to Bluestone
National Scenic River, you must schedule some time for it while you're here. Mountain Lake Campground ordinarily gets lots of rain; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
