Don't leave Middle Mountain Cabin without first going for a hike along the Long Trail. Summertime highs at Middle Mountain Cabin typically     tend to be in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Middle Mountain Cabin temperatures descend to the 10's. A trip to Audra State Park when you're here at Middle Mountain Cabin is never a bad idea, and there's wonderful hiking along the Yokum Hunter Access Trail. This is such a brilliant campground. Glide down the rapids of Cheat River - Shavers Fork in a kayak, and if you're popping by from Elkins, you won't be the only one. It's very bad for you to spend too much time in the city; you've gotta get out every now and then, and Middle Mountain Cabin in West Virginia is a tremendous place to go. So much enjoyable stuff right next door to Middle Mountain Cabin, definitely tremendous. Really brilliant   skiing awaits you at Snowshoe, and going for a hike on the South Haddix Trail is always a tremendous adventure. There are tremendous places to explore along the McGowan Mountain Trail, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Roaring Creek - Tygart Valley River Tributary. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do close to Middle Mountain Cabin, and what a tremendous place for camping it is. The caring people working here and all the cool stuff to do are reason enough to come here. A visit to Monongahela National Forest when you're here at Middle Mountain Cabin is a good idea; let's not forget Goddin Run which is a stream that you may come across during your stay. Middle Mountain Cabin is a top choice campground with visitors from Elkins. Middle Mountain Cabin gets a lot of water; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. While visiting this vicinity in West Virginia it's a tremendous idea to go camping for a couple of days too.
