Lake Sherwood - Monongahela National Forest, West Virginia   The glorious local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back repeatedly. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Roaring Creek - Tygart Valley River Tributary has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby,     and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Long Trail. This campground is a good place to check out. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the South Haddix Trail. At Lake Sherwood you always meet someone from Elkins; hiking along the Little Black Fork Trail is good fun. A lot of fun is at this campground. Don't forget to take a perfect little trip to Goddin Run; on a great day you can take a hike along the Yokum Hunter Access Trail. Anxious to raise that tent; Lake Sherwood in West Virginia is precisely what you need. For the duration of the summer here at Lake Sherwood, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while Lake Sherwood night low temperatures all through the winter are   in the 10's. West Virginia is a splendid outdoors state. Paddling on Tygart Valley River is so much fun; Audra State Park is a pleasant place to stretch your legs a bit. Very pretty scenery and good skiing is what you get at Snowshoe, and since you're here you can take a hike along the McGowan Mountain Trail. The positive atmosphere and all the exciting stuff have folks coming here. Lake Sherwood is a wet place that gets much precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Lake Sherwood is a very popular campground with folks in Elkins. Lake Sherwood is positioned in an area with loads of exciting stuff to do, and if you're looking for a splendid site to go camping for a couple of days, this is a splendid pick.
