So much cool stuff to do here at Blue Bend Rec Area, too wonderful to be true. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Long Trail, and Monongahela National Forest is a nice location. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Blue Bend Rec Area; Little Black Fork Trail is a good local trail; a visit to Audra State Park revives the spirit. The magnificent pick of local attractions, and the close by outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came. Why not take a     refreshing hike along the South Haddix Trail. Lakes are wonderful; Mill Creek Reservoir is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Blue Bend Rec Area. At Blue Bend Rec Area through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Blue Bend Rec Area descend into the 10's. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is swimming, fishing, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen. Get your sleeping bag packed and head for the campground; Blue Bend Rec Area in West Virginia is exactly the place. Take a hike on the McGowan Mountain Trail; naturally Goddin Run is a stunning stream that is worth stopping at. Blue Bend   Rec Area is a campground rather frequently visited by people of Elkins. Coming to this campground is always a tremendous idea. If you come at the right time of year, Tygart Valley River offers some great whitewater; why not head up to Snowshoe and strap some skis to your feet. Glide down the rapids of Roaring Creek - Tygart Valley River Tributary in a kayak; you'll probably meet some folks from Elkins here. There are so many exciting things close to Blue Bend Rec Area; it's one of those places where everything is fine. Blue Bend Rec Area is a quite wet place typically with a lot of rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. This campground is so beautiful. Going for a hike along the Yokum Hunter Access Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Cheat River - Shavers Fork.
