While you're here at Big Bend you can take a hike along the Long Trail, and Cheat River - Shavers Fork is a good whitewater spot nearby. What a place this is for outdoors people. Take a hike on the South Haddix Trail, and as expected Goddin Run flows through this region. | mostly get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Big Bend. This is a magnificent campground. Have a good hiking adventure along the McGowan Mountain Trail, and spots like Monongahela National Forest are brilliant to check out. hand is the driest. This campground is so magnificent. While you're here at Big Bend you will meet lots of folks from nearby Elkins. Some activities here at Big Bend are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Audra State Park is a fine place; get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Roaring Creek - Tygart Valley River Tributary.
