Big Bend - Monongahela National Forest, West Virginia

  At Big Bend exciting stuff to do is plentiful, and being here is nice fun any time. Big Bend typically gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Bend; South Haddix Trail is a delightful local trail, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Elkins here.
With so much stuff to do in West Virginia you'll never get bored. Big Bend is a campground prized by residents of Elkins. Tygart Valley River is a great whitewater spot near Big
    Bend, and delightful hiking is available along the Little Black Fork Trail.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Long Trail, and why not a little side visit to Goddin Run.
Big Bend is right by the Yokum Hunter Access Trail, and you can run the rapids of Roaring Creek
- Tygart Valley River Tributary. There's plenty of outdoors recreation available nearby such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of amusing stuff to do won’t happen.
So much cool stuff to do here at Big Bend, too great to be true. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Snowshoe if you're here, and Audra State Park is a pleasant place. This campground is so good. Places like Monongahela National Forest are great to have a look at, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater
 
paddling on Cheat River - Shavers Fork. During the summer here at Big Bend, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while Big Bend nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
The caring staff and the magnificent facilities are in themselves reason enough to come here. You've been indoors for too much time, you've got to get out of the house, and Big Bend in West Virginia is a nice selection.
A campground like this is too good to miss. The McGowan Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best.
