Bear Heaven Recreation Area, West Virginia   You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. When you're here at Bear Heaven Recreation Area it's always fun to check out Audra State Park, and don't leave Bear Heaven Recreation Area without first going for a hike along the McGowan Mountain Trail. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Roaring Creek - Tygart Valley River Tributary, and hiking is a popular     thing to do around Bear Heaven Recreation Area; Pheasant Mountain Trail is a wonderful local trail. Everybody close by loves skiing at Snowshoe, and going for a hike on the Little Black Fork Trail is always a great adventure. The workforce who's always there to assist and the extremely competently controlled facilities have folks coming here. Through the warm months highs here at Bear Heaven Recreation Area get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows at Bear Heaven Recreation Area through the winter commonly fall into the 10's. Bear Heaven Recreation Area ordinarily gets a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls during July while February is generally the driest month. The glorious variety of local attractions and   so much to do will beyond doubt have you coming back again and again. It's a wonderful idea to visit Buffalo Run, it's in the neighborhood of Bear Heaven Recreation Area, and at Bear Heaven Recreation Area you always meet someone from Elkins. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cheat River - Shavers Fork, and Monongahela National Forest is both great and delightful. This campground is so glorious. Go for a hike on the South Haddix Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Tygart Valley River offers some brilliant whitewater; there's pleasant hiking along the Long Trail. This segment of West Virginia is always a pleasure to explore during camping season. It's been too long since you went outside; Bear Heaven Recreation Area in West Virginia is a really nice location to spend some time.
