Yakima River R V Park, Washington Amenities AMENITIES Tent camping is available - Yakima River RV Park has an additional overflow area separate from the RV Park where large groups of tenters sometimes gather for special weekends away from city life! This camping area is treed giving good shade. A porta-potty is available, as well as good water, but showers are not provided. Those who really can't live without a shower can go to the truck stop and shower for a fee. RV hookups are available - We have 40 sites, 36 of those with power and water, 16 of those include septic as well, 4 dry sites.  Pets are allowed - Pets are allowed, by permission depending on the breed of dog. Rabies certificates should be carried with you. Rules must be closely followed concerning pet walking and plastic bag pick-ups, as well as leashes and no disturbances. No fires - The fire marshall in Kittitas County only approves Propane fires which are operated by an instant on/off switch.  No Store Grocery store nearby - Ellensburg has four major grocery stores in town, including Super One, Safeway, Albertsons and Fred Meyers within four or five miles. Yakima is 30 miles south with several major shopping stores.   Pool - There is a city pool and the CWU pool. Carey Lakes are a five minute drive from Yakima River RV Park with a roped off children’s area which is cool and refreshing! Game Room - Opening soon in the barn, is a rustic Club House for group gatherings to have their potluck dinners and meetings!
