The 3,100-foot height difference at close by ski area Crystal Mountain is great; it has 50 ski runs covered by 29 feet of snow per year, served by 11 different ski lifts. 2,600 acres of ski terrain is on hand at Crystal Mountain; beginner and intermediate ski runs account for 65% while red and black ski runs make up 35% of the ski runs. There are great ski runs for everybody at Crystal Mountain. A  
    grade III, 10-mile-from-beginning-to-end whitewater stretch can be found on close by White River, the Silver Springs Campground to West Fork White portion. For raft paddling this stretch of White River is an enjoyable place. Whitewater
  rafting and kayaking may turn treacherous, so check the situation ahead of going. 3,225 feet is the elevation difference of nearby Sun Top Trail. Sun Top Trail is 7 miles of trekking presenting you some exceptionally picturesque spots. Approximately one and a half days is roughly the quantity of time you must have to hike the Sun Top Trail, a demanding backpacking and hiking trail.
