Peterson Prairie - Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Northern Cascade Range, Washington   Peterson Prairie is situated in a neighborhood with a lot of cool stuff to do, and when you spend some time here you will feel like a different person. Peterson Prairie is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rainfall; December is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is July. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, and Peterson Prairie in Washington is the outdoors at its best. When you're here at Peterson Prairie it's always fun to check out Gifford Pinchot National Forest. This is a splendid campground. Here at Peterson Prairie you'll most likely meet some folks from Randle, and you can go for a hike on the Pompey Peak Trail. The panoramas at Mount Rainier National Park will blow your mind, and there's always Stud Log Pond Dam to pop by next to Peterson Prairie. Summertime highs at Peterson Prairie regularly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows at Peterson Prairie all through the wintertime generally fall into the 30's. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Maple Grove RV Resort & Golf Course, and there are magnificent places to explore along the Big Creek Trail. You completely have to love Peterson Prairie. Take a side journey to Surrey Creek, and get dripping wet paddling on Yellowjacket Creek. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Cascade Range. Not far from Peterson Prairie, you'll come across Gibbs Lake which is a picturesque lake, and going for a hike on the Silver Creek Trail is always a fine adventure. The delightful variety of local attractions and the delightful variety of outdoors recreation will undeniably have you coming back time and again. Silver Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and great hiking is available along the Davis Mountain Trail.
