A trip to Panther Creek wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Gifford Pinchot National Forest, and whitewater paddling is good on Yellowjacket Creek. High temperatures at Panther Creek throughout the long summer days are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Panther Creek. All the smiling people and a delightful variety of entertaining things beat anything. A great location for whitewater paddling near Panther Creek is Silver Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Panther Creek; Pompey Peak Trail is a pleasant local trail. Mount Rainier National Park is a great local destination here at Panther Creek, and the Davis Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. A number of folks choose this campground in order to be in the vicinity of Mount Rainier National Park. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cispus River, and you can go for a hike on the Silver Creek Trail.
