NEWHALEM IS IN THE CASCADE MT. RANGE NOT THE OLYMPIC RANGE. UP HI-WAY 20 EAST FROM I-5 NORTH OF SEATTLE WA. Says KEVIN CALLAHAN

So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back time and again. At Newhalem fun stuff to do is abundant, and you always have a delightful time when you're here. Ok, it's been too much time since you went outside, time has come to get out, and Newhalem is a delightful local

campground if you happen to be in Washington.
The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always pretty. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Washington.

The pleasant workforce and the nice quality of everything here
have people coming here. A fine 8.9-mile-from-beginning-to-end whitewater stretch on Skagit River is close by. This, the Goodell Creek to Copper Creek segment, is a category II-III+. Don’t be sure of continuing to be dry whitewater boating this stretch of Skagit River in case you're not an expert kayak paddler. Of course, whitewater boating is exciting but treacherous; check conditions before you go. There's a glorious 2.2-mile-from-start-to-finish backpacking
trail boasting a glorious 1,153-foot difference in height close by; this pretty backpacking trail is the Pyramid Lake Trail. Roughly speaking two and a half hours is something like the magnitude of time you need to walk the Pyramid
Lake Trail, a challenging backpacking trail. The 5.8-mile-long Hidden Lake Trail has a difference in height of 2,693 feet; it is a striking wilderness trail. A striking one day of demanding backpacking is in store for you along the Hidden Lake Trail. The 16.4-mile-long Sourdough Lookout Trail is a wonderful hiking and backpacking trail having a fine 5,982-foot difference in altitude.
