Miller River   has a fine 4.8-mile-in-distance class IV whitewater sweep nearby, the East Fork to NE Old Cascade Highway segment. If you have a little bit of whitewater boating familiarity, this sweep of Miller River could be a fine sweep for your ability. Don't go whitewater boating ahead of first checking the latest conditions; it's hazardous business.
