Going for a hike on the Georges Peak Trail is always a perfect adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Kalama River offers some pleasant whitewater. Some people camp here to be in the neighborhood of Goble Beach.

| Beach is a beach close by that you can check out. You get a nice panorama of Mount Pleasant from Mahaffey's Camp Ground; a pretty lake like Box Lake is a good spot to stop at.
The helpful operators of the campground and the wealth of cool stuff to do are a fine draw for a lot of folks. Seaquest State Park is worth going to if you're at Mahaffey's Camp Ground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Goble Creek.
So many local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are magnificent reasons to come.
